Music in March, Wine & Chocolate Pairings, Art & Wine Weekend

Spring celebrates the arrival of new life on the farm. Terhune Orchards Vineyard  and Winery is celebrating spring with wine and song with the introduction of Music in March,  a new spring series featuring local musicians on Sundays in March from 1 – 4 p.m. Enjoy local musicians each week in a variety of styles including country, bluegrass and jazz. The winery tasting room is open 12-5 p.m.

The final Wine & Chocolate weekend will be March 4-5 from 12-5 p.m. We are collaborating with Carol’s Creative Chocolatez, a local artisan chocolate maker specializing in high quality single-origin chocolates. We will pair their chocolate and wines from Terhune Orchards Vineyard and Winery. These special tasting include a paired tasting of Terhune Orchards wines paired with of Carol’s chocolates and a souvenir glass for $15 per person.

On March 11-12, we join the wineries of Vintage North Jersey for the annual, statewide Wine & Art Trail Weekend. Participating wineries display the work of local artists. Follow the wine trail and become a connoisseur of fine wine and fine art at the same time! The whole family is welcome at Terhune Orchards.  After wine tasting, explore the farm, barnyard and discover art.  On Sunday, March 13 local artists  from Art Collaborations of Princeton will be painting en plein air all over the farm. Come chat with them as they work at their easels outdoors and talk to them about their artwork and painting process.

On April 1, a Wine and Chocolate Specialty Tasting Event will be held with Tony Brokenborough of Carol’s Creative Chocolatez and Terhune Orchards’ Vineyard Manager, Tony McDonell. Brokenborough will lead tasters through the history of chocolate from the days of Columbus to the present day.  McDonell will share the history of Terhune Orchards vineyard, vine selection and wine making.

This event will not disappoint wine and chocolate enthusiasts.  Everyone will leave with a better appreciation of chocolate and wine and how they work together Afterwards, enjoy an extended tasting of 10 high quality single origin and Belgian chocolates which have been expertly paired with Terhune Orchards wines. Registration includes a souvenir glass to go home.

All winery events will be held in our new Wine Barn. Enjoy our 12 wine varieties including red, white and fruit based wines, by the glass or as a tasting flight. The large windows in the new climate controlled barn are a perfect vantage point to watch farm life outside or view the stainless steel wine storage tanks and bottling line where are award winning wines are produced from estate grown grapes.

The farm store is open Mon- Fri 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sat. – Sun., 9 a.m. –5 p.m.
