Howard Hughes Corporation Files Plan to Redevelop Blighted West Windsor Property

Howard Hughes Corp. has proposed a mixed-use development plan on a 653-acre parcel in West Windsor that includes the vacant former American Cyanamid site. The project, which would feature 240 acres of open space, bicycle and walking trails, a village center with shops, restaurants and public spaces, a 32-acre site for a school and community recreation facilities, and enhancements to bus service accessibility, is projected to produce more than $8 million in net annual property tax revenue for the township and surrounding region. “We’ve developed a vision for a live-work-play community that transforms what is now a blighted site into a vibrant community asset,” said Howard Hughes Corp. Vice President of Development Adam Meister. “The next step will be a public hearing in front of the town planning board, which is scheduled for early May.”
