Eric Scott, Executive Director, News and Network Programming, Townsquare Media & NJ101.5


You know him as the morning news anchor & “Ask the Governor” host on NJ101.5. With 29+ years of experience, this political expert will look at 2014 expectations & Gov. Christie’s future; plus, wacky moments throughout his career!

“The business community of Princeton is responsible for and a driver of industry in the Garden State,” Eric says in a recent US1 article. “I love looking at things the way they are, and the way they were.”

Eric is a three time Edward R. Murrow Award winning broadcast journalist and one of the foremost political experts in New Jersey.

He is currently the Executive Director of News and Network News Programming for Townsquare Media, New Jersey, and News Director of New Jersey 101.5 FM Radio. He is responsible for the editorial, news, and public affairs programming on all Townsquare New Jersey Radio stations and the Townsquare News Network.

Eric is also the voice of Townsquare New Jersey, anchoring the morning network newscasts as well as news reports on New Jersey 101.5 FM Radio. His broadcasts have been judged "Best Newscast" by the Associated Press for eleven consecutive years.

In addition to his duties for Townsquare Media in New Jersey, Eric serves as the National Brand Leader for all of Townsquare Media’s News/Talk radio stations in the United States.

Previously, Eric has worked as the United Nations Correspondent for the NBC/Mutual Radio Network and as an anchor and reporter for WCBS in New York City. He has earned a reputation as a tenacious interviewer and tireless investigator. Eric is frequently sought out as a panelist, moderator, and keynote speaker for his expert analysis on New Jersey politics.

In honor of his late father, Eric is an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Men's Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion. He is also an active USTA competitive tennis player and is currently training for the 2015 Philadelphia Open.
